During the application process, Daniel expressed that his interest in the program stemmed from his desire to "be a part of a community that prioritizes addressing the unique challenges faced by neurodivergent youth, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds" like his. He also noted his passion for neuroscience and advocacy and his intentions to maximize this opportunity to learn from experts in the field as he pursues his career goals.
As a Black man and military child, Daniel's transient background brings a unique blend of experiences including, but not limited to, "moving frequently, adapting to new environments and navigating systemic disparities" that have shaped him both academically and personally.
