Meet Fall 2025 NeurodivURGENT Fellow: Aishat Adedoyin

Updated: Jun 19

Classification - Senior, North Carolina A&T University

During the application process, Aishat expressed that her interest in the program stemmed from her experience serving children with various neurological conditions, primarily autism. She also noted that she would love the opportunity to learn and expand her knowledge of various conditions to not only gain personal knowledge but to also better assist her clients.

When asked what issue(s) she would most like to address on behalf of under-sourced, neurodivergent youth populations, she stated that she would like to ensure that all children have access to quality psychometric assessment services regardless of their economic backgrounds. Her ultimate goal is to start a clinic in an under-resourced neighborhood and offer quality, affordable evaluations and behavioral therapy for neurodivergent youth.

Three things that Aishat is most proud of about herself:

1. Resilience in the face of adversity

2. Academic accomplishments

3. Dedication to political activism
