Q: If you had a friend who was extremely talented but lacked confidence in their ability to succeed at something they really wanted to do, what advice would you give to encourage them to take the leap?

A: "I would feed my friend examples of their past accomplishments, explain how they have inspired me, and let them know that I will do "it", whatever "it" is, with them. The goal [for me] would be to plant quickly-sprouting seeds of motivation and slow-acting seeds of long-term fearlessness. We would either start their goal together or start separate goals at the same time. In doing so, I would speak to them as if the goal had already been accomplished and we were merely catching up to that moment in the future..."
