2026 Conference Proposals
(Undergraduate, Graduate, and Professional Students)
The NeurodivURGENT Conference is a three-day, highly interactive hybrid event designed to serve as a catalyst for collaboration around issues that directly impact the plights of underserved youth facing neurocognitive challenges. By intentionally curating interdisciplinary panels, workshops, roundtable discussions and keynote presentations that explore different sides of the same issues, this event is positioned to spark innovative partnerships and assist professionals in gaining better understandings of how their respective roles fit into the larger neurodiversity ecosystem.

Overview:
The NeurodivURGENT team is currently seeking undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who have done equity-centered research and/or field work on behalf of neurodivergent youth in the following disciplines: law/legal profession, education, social work, psychology, neuroscience, public health, policy/public service and medicine
​
Emphasis must be placed on one or more of the following five (5) areas: cognition & learning, rehabilitative justice, behavioral and emotional health, equitable access to screening and treatment and/or caregiver support.

Submission Types:
Participants may apply to showcase their work through the submission of posters and/or presentation proposals. All entries will be peer-reviewed and selected based on rubric criteria provided in submission instructions.​
​
Research/Field Work Posters:
Selected posters will remain on exhibit for the entirety of the conference. Those who have submitted accepted posters will be allotted time to share their work and engage with conference attendees during the two-hour poster session event.
​
Research/Field Work Presentations:
Selected presenters will be allotted 30 minutes each to share their research and/or field work and an additional 5-10 minutes for Q & A. Final presentations and all other visual aids must be submitted in advance to ensure an efficient, engaging, and pleasant experience for all.​

General Submission Guidelines:

All submissions must fall in one or more of the following five categories: Cognition and Learning, Rehabilitative Justice, Behavioral and Emotional Health, Equitable Access to Screening and Treatment, or Caregiver Support. (On the application, please select the one that most closely aligns with your submission.)

All submissions must be the author's own original work and must not infringe on the copyright/intellectual property rights of any other individual or organization.

All submissions must clearly align with the goal of creating more equitable supports for under-resourced neurodivergent youth and families.
Poster Submissions:

Research posters must include the following headings: Title, Authors/Affiliation, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion/Conclusions, Acknowledgments, and References.

Field work posters must include the following headings: Title, Authors/Affiliation, Abstract, Project Summary, Key Performance Indicators, Discussion/Conclusions, Acknowledgement, and References.

All poster submissions must be legible and include text and graphics that clearly demonstrate the objectives and outcomes of the research.

Posters will be printed on 4' x 3' posters and should be formatted accordingly.

Estimated time allotment for each portion of the 30 minute presentation should also be included.
